Who's responsible

The data controller under GDPR is Marvin Neumann, based in Sweden. For anything privacy-related, write to marvin@neumanns.de.

What we collect

When you sign up for the free beta, we store only your email address.

We do not collect:

• your name, IP address, or location
• any analytics or tracking data
• any cookies
• any code, files, or data from the Codey app — the desktop app processes everything locally on your machine

Why we collect it

To send you updates about the Codey beta and let you know when the app is ready to try. That's it. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the form.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until we stop running the beta — whichever comes first. You can request deletion at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to marvin@neumanns.de.

Where it's stored

Emails are stored on the server hosting this website (Strato, Germany). They are not shared with any third party, not sold, not used for advertising, and not passed to any analytics tool.

Your rights under GDPR

• Right to access: ask what we have on you (we'll tell you — it's just your email)
• Right to rectification: ask us to correct it
• Right to deletion: ask us to remove it
• Right to withdraw consent: unsubscribe at any time
• Right to complain to a supervisory authority

The Codey desktop app

When you actually use the Codey app on your machine, your code never leaves your computer except to be sent directly to the Anthropic Claude API using your own API key. We do not receive, store, or have access to any of your code or diffs.

Changes to this policy

If anything changes, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email people on the beta list before it takes effect.
